Roots and Wings

Roots and Wings. To some it sounds like a typical rhyme of you know what, but to many it's an ode to raising children with both safety and independence. We will provide outlets for them, teach them right from wrong; but they still need the opportunity to explore on their own. With roots that anchor us deep into the ground we can't fly too high or soar too far without getting uprooted by this tumultuous world. But if our wings are taught not just by how beautiful it is up there, but also by the ease at which we descend when necessary--even when others try convince us otherwise--we can grow together in love while independent in spirit.
