Roots and Wings
Roots and Wings.
To some, it may sound like a simple rhyme you’ve heard before—but to many, it’s an anthem for raising children with both grounding and freedom.
We give them guidance, boundaries, and the moral compass to know right from wrong. We provide safe spaces, nurturing love, and open doors. But eventually, they must step out and explore the world for themselves.
Roots keep us grounded. They tether us to values, family, and faith—so we’re not easily swept away by life’s storms. But wings—those are for soaring. Not just to rise high, but to know how to glide down with grace when the world feels heavy.
When we teach our children to both stand firm and fly free, they grow strong in love—rooted in connection, yet independent in spirit. And maybe that’s the balance we all need.
